Ken Robinson shares new thinking on 'The Element' - the point at which natural talent meets personal passion.
The really big reboot is yet to come. But don't look for it on the stock exchange or the political ballot. It'll come from science labs, and it promises keener bodies and minds.

Have too many passions to settle on just one? Perfect. Your unique mix of interests may turn out to be your very own super power. I was impressed when Martijn (my son) used this video to express his multipotentialism. Shortly after, Geert did the same :-)
In my career, I have learned that people are different. My own way of living, learning and growing follows a different path than that of others. But I have also learned that there are similarities.
After reading the great book: 'Business heroes' by Sandy Dunlop, I learned that there is a logic into the story of everybody's life. Especially the strict 'rythm' of that story has a recipe that can help you a lot to understand your own development path.
Other logic was found later on. When I met with Gareth Morgen ('Images of Organizations'), Henry Mintzberg ('We need managers - Not MBA's'), David Cooperrider ('Appreciative Inquiry') and Brian Hall ('Values'), I saw another logic into the recipe of growth.
A person can be described at different levels: passion, strengths, competencies, roles and values. Passion can be collected in several ways but an interesting one is offered by John Holland. Strength can be described using the logic of Jung (MBTI), competencies are often based on empirical studies, Roles on Belbin and Values on Hall-Tonna.
All five levels are bundles into SMRT.bio - the Total Talent platform.

The “why” of leadership is most important: to have a positive and lasting impact on people and organizations.
In the twenty-first century, there will again be many revolutions in technology, in economics, in politics. But for the first time in history, humanity itself will also undergo a radical revolution. Not only our society and economy, but our bodies and minds will be transformed by new technologies such as genetic engineering, nanotechnology and brain-computer interfaces.

I love this video. Created by Dustin of Smarter Every Day. It turns out that the algorythm is based on 3 or 4 parameters only. We should study this and learn from it to create organizations to perate as a flock of birds. Play with the algorithm!!
Earlier this week I joined the Call to Unite - a 24 hour global live stream event where I shared my thoughts on how we can seize the opportunity to transform how we educate our children, and how we approach our relationship with the world we live in.
